Hello Friends
I agree its been long, but well I'm back and this time with something for the men.
Recently a friend told me the wife had painted their house orange, '' my living room is soo orange like its on fire. everything is orange!!!!!'' this got me thinking;
Have we ever wondered to find out what men like or what kinds of designs they love when it comes to interior??? Commonly, when couples undertake remodeling project, a battle between the sexes ends up with the men taking over the architecture and the ladies the interior designing. But the question is do we ladies take time to incorporate some of the ideas our men have or do we even care to ask??
I have also done home makeovers and rarely do I see men involved in any of this save for the cases that need construction and plumbing.
Men and women have different tastes towards style, and these get very different when it comes to interior designing.
Masculine designs are mostly defined by the dark colors, straight lines, metal and glass structures. There is always no room for lace or silky material and most material is robust,raw and rigorous.Men always tend to look out for compatibility and flexibility not often will you find them looking the latest trends in interior.
Masculine designing requires you to create a lot of space and make sure the room does not feel crowded at all. It should also be able create a very long lasting comfort.
However, that said, I do believe if the two tastes(feminine and masculine) are blended together, the outcome would be quiet something.
I, advise; to the ladies, involve your partner or boyfriend while designing your interior and the same to the gents. for example; feminine colorful throw pillows, flowers in a beautiful pot, wall hangings and colorful wall paper added to masculine dominated space would definitely not be a bad idea.
You will be surprised at what you can achieve, but as always, I advise you to ''keep it simple''.
